Laurel County deputies investigating early morning shooting that injured man
LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a man seriously injured early Thursday morning, according to a Facebook post from Sheriff John Root.
Deputies were sent to the scene around 2:23 a.m. Thursday to a report of a gunshot victim at 71 Robert E Cox Road. When they arrived, they found a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the sheriff’s post, deputies rendered aid until Laurel County EMS arrived on scene. The victim was first taken to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in London, then transferred to the University of Kentucky for further treatment.
The post says the investigation is ongoing. There is no information on a suspect right now.
