Laurel County crash sends three children to the hospital

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Three children were injured and an adult airlifted to the hospital following a crash in Laurel County.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says the crash involved two vehicles and happened on US 25 near London Wednesday afternoon.

According to deputies, a Toyota Corolla was merging onto US 25 from American Greeting Card Road when it was struck by a Toyota Avalon.

The impact knocked the Corolla off the road. The driver of the Corolla, 35-year-old Jennifer Haws, had to be extricated from the car. She was airlifted to the University of Kentucky hospital. Three children in the car, ages 10, 14, and 16, were taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Avalon, 64-year-old Stanley Woods, of London, was also taken to the hospital.
