UPDATE: Missing Laurel Co. teen found

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says that a teen believed to have run away from her home has been found and is safe.

15-year-old Ciarra Thomas disappeared from her home on Willie Cheek Road at around 11:30 p.m. Monday evening.  She was reportedly headed to a home on Church Road, but never arrived.

No word from the Laurel Co. Sheriff on where she was found, or where she had been, only that she was found around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Laurel Co. Sheriff looking for teen runaway

The Laurel County Sheriff is asking for help from the public in locating an apparent teen runaway.

The Sheriff says 15-year-old Ciarra Thomas was last seen at about 11:30 p.m. Monday night at her home on Willie Cheek Road.  The Sheriff says she was headed to a home on Church Road, but never arrived.

Thomas is described as being 4’10” tall, weighing 110 pounds, with green eyes, brown shoulder-length hair, and a thin build.  She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeved, blue “Wonder Woman” t-shirt, and sandals.  She was also carrying a pink and green backpack.
