Laurel Co. deputies: Fugitive wanted for murder

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officials in Laurel County say they are looking for a man they believe hit and killed a woman while under the influence.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office 34-year-old Eric J. Cassidy was driving on Ky 229 in November of 2016 when he crossed the center line hitting another vehicle and killing 47-year-old Sherry King.

Deputies say they have been unsuccessful in their search for Cassidy.

Cassidy is charged with murder, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and persistent felony offender, according to investigators.
