Laurel Co. Animal Shelter requesting help from community

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – In the wake of a raid on the Homeward Bound Animal Shelter in Laurel Co., and the seizure of over 100 dogs there, workers at the Laurel Co. Animal Shelter are asking for help from the community to make room for the incoming animals.

The shelter is hoping to have as many of their current population rescued or adopted as soon as possible.  They are asking the community to either transport the animals to other in-state rescue facilities, or consider adoption.

The shelter is also asking for food donations, as well as dog bowls, and gas money.  Donations will be accepted at the shelter, or can be dropped off at the Laurel Co. Fairgrounds.
