Berea says ‘Yes’ to alcohol sales
BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) — Larger restaurants in Berea will be able to sell alcoholic beverages with food following a vote Tuesday.
The Madison County Clerk’s Office says 1,476 people voted in favor of the referendum allowing alcohol to be sold by the glass, with 1,113 voting against the measure.
The vote allows restaurants that seat up to 50 people, and that generate at least 70% of their gross income from food sales, the ability to apply for licenses to serve alcoholic beverages with meals.
