Large police presence in store parking lot off Elkhorn Rd

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington police say a suspect is in custody following a large law enforcement response late Tuesday night at a shopping center near Elkhorn Road and Winchester Road.

According to officials, officers made contact with a vehicle that was wanted in connection to an ongoing investigation. Police say the driver was not complying with their instructions, prompting additional units to respond to the scene.

The driver was eventually detained without incident. No injuries were reported, and police confirmed there is no threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing.
