Large fire breaks out in Morehead

The fire broke out Saturday morning at a maintenance garage at Harold White Lumber on Flemingsburg Road, Rowan County dispatchers say.

According to officials, nobody was inside the building when the fire broke out.

"To say that we suffered a tremendous loss today would be an understatement," says a statement released by Harold White Lumber later on Saturday. "After struggling through this week of record breaking arctic temperatures, there is no way we could have anticipated this."

The statement went on to thank all fire rescue services and any volunteers who helped get the fire under control and prevented further damages.

No injuries were reported.
