Lane closures scheduled for New Circle Rd.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has released information on lane closures Wednesday and Thursday on New Circle Road as a part of the loop’s widening project.

Motorists should be aware of the following traffic impacts:

Wednesday, Dec. 16 – 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

• The right/slow lane will be closed on the inner loop of New Circle Road at Versailles Road while the barrier wall is moved for paving operations.

Thursday, Dec. 17  – 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

• A traffic configuration change will be in effect on the inbound Versailles Road ramp to the inner loop of New Circle Road for paving operations.
• During this time local law enforcement will be stopping traffic on the outer loop of New Circle Road at Leestown Road for pavement repairs

A 45 mph speed limit will be in effect in construction zones.
