Lafayette student to be disciplined after BB gun found in backpack

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A student at Lafayette HS will face disciplinary action after school law enforcement found a BB gun in the student’s backpack Thursday afternoon.

According to school officials, students were boarding the bus to head home from school when the bus driver that he saw something suspicious.

The driver reportedly called the Lexington Police Department and school law enforcement, who met the school bus at a stop on Maxwell Street and Lexington Avenue.

Law enforcement then boarded the bus and found the BB gun in the student’s backpack.

No one was hurt in the incident.
