‘Lady Houdini’ to perform at Bluegrass Fair
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair begins Thursday, July 14 and runs through July 24 at Masterson Station Park in Lexington. One of the featured performers this year is Kristen Johnson, who calls herself, ‘Lady Houdini,’ and is billed as the world’s premier female escape artist.
She performs many tricks, including a harrowing underwater escape where she is handcuffed, shackled and submerged in a tank of water. During her dramatic escape, she often has to hold her breath for up to three minutes.
She performed her stunt on national television on ‘To Tell The Truth,’ on ABC 36 on July 12. She was joined on the show by two imposters who tried to stump the celebrity panel.
Lady Houdini will perform at the Bluegrass Fair Monday through Friday at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. She will do three performances on the weekend’s at 4:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
