La Familia Cruises Past Stroh’s Squad in TBT Opener

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – On Friday night La Familia began their TBT journey with a dominant 105-52 win over Stroh’s Squad. The Kentucky Alumni led this game from the jump and really pulled away in the third quarter where they dropped 34 points. Ansley Almonor hit a three at the end to get to the target score and advance to the next round.

Archie Goodwin led all scorers for La Familia during Friday’s game. Goodwin scored 19 points on 8 for 11 shooting,  he also pulled down 7 rebounds and dished out 8 assists. The other standouts in the game were Aaron Harrison and Kahlil Whitney who put up 14 points each… and former cat Enes Kanter’s brother Kerem recorded 12 points as well in the 53 point win.

La Familia will play their second round game on Sunday Afternoon against the Auburn Alumni team War Ready. The game will take place at 2:30 P.M. from Memorial Coliseum.
