KYTC patrolling and treating routes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is out patrolling and treating routes for the 12 counties in the district.

Each county is individual – needs are assessed for the terrain and temperatures, says KYTC. They say personnel will remain on duty throughout the night and into the morning hours.

The Kentucky SAFE Patrol – Safety Assistance for Freeway Emergencies – works seven days a week on Kentucky interstates and parkways.  SAFE Patrol drivers are equipped with blankets, reflective cones, shovels, auto fluids and other equipment to get drivers back on the road safely.

Motorists can request the SAFE Patrol by calling: 1-877-FOR-KYTC (1-877-367-5982)
