KY Moms Demand Action hosts gun violence rally Saturday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Kentucky Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is hosting a rally in Louisville Saturday in response to the recent mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas.
The rally is to honor the lives cut short by gun violence and demand common-sense gun reform. Volunteers will demand action from their senators to pass a strong federal Red Flag bill and legislation to require background checks on all gun sales.
Speakers will be Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and Anita Franklin, director of Antonio Franklin, Jr. Violence Intervention Program.
The rally kicks off Saturday at 11 a.m. and will take place at the Jefferson Square Park at 301 S 6th Street in Louisville.
