Ky. man wins right to have “IM GOD” license plate

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Kentucky man will get his controversial personalized license plate after a federal court ruling Wednesday.

In 2016, Ben Hart sued after the Kentucky Division of Motor Vehicles refused to issue the plate he requested that read: “IM GOD.”

The department says it was not in good taste.

Hart argued being denied the plate violated his first amendment rights.
