Most KY food benefits customers receiving March funds early
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The state announced Tuesday that most Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for March will be distributed this Friday, March 1.
The Department for Community Based Services says the schedule change shortens the time recipients have to wait for additional SNAP benefits following changes that had to be made last month due to the partial federal government shutdown.
Assistance benefits for these customers will be loaded to customer accounts/EBT cards, according to the state.
Customers can use these funds immediately.
The state is reminding SNAP beneficiaries they will not receive any additional SNAP benefits for the month of March.
