KY 577 in Owsley county to close to repair pavement break

JACKSON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Motorists planning to take KY 577 in Owsley County will need to look for a different daytime route starting Friday, July 9.

The road will close for several days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as crews repair a pavement break. The road work will be at milepoint 0.83 between the Clay County line and KY 11.

KY 577 will be open over the weekend and during non-working hours in the evenings. Work will resume Monday July 12 and go through Wednesday, July 14.

Since no marked detour will be posted, drivers can take KY 1350, KY 846 and KY 11 through Island City as an alternate route.
