KY 420 in Frankfort to close Monday for slide repairs

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KYTC) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a complete closure on KY 420 (Old Lawrenceburg Road) in Frankfort due to slide repairs. This route will be closed on Monday, March 7 between the Capital parking garage and Murray Street (mile points 3.2 to 3.5). The work is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Utility crews must move some lines and a power pole on Monday morning before the slide repairs can begin. KYTC maintenance crews will be installing support rails into the embankment on KY 420 along the Kentucky River.

Access to thru traffic will not be allowed. Motorists try to access the Cliffside Restaurant will be allowed past the closure, but will not be allowed past that location.
