KY 28 in Owsley County to be closed Tuesday, June 8
OWSLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Drivers who use KY 28 in Owsley County will need to find an alternate route on Tuesday, June 8.
The road will be closed that day to repair a break and base failure.
The project location is between milepoints 3.5 and 3.6, approximately 0.5 miles east of the KY 2024 intersection. This impacts travel between Booneville and Buckhorn, as well as local traffic between the Cow Creek area and Booneville.
Work will begin around 8 a.m., at which time the road will be closed to all traffic. If the work is not completed on Tuesday, the road will be reopened to traffic overnight and closed again on Wednesday so the repairs can be completed.
No marked detour will be posted. Drivers can use KY 2024 and KY 1768 as an alternate route.
