KY 1146 in Perry County to close July 6 for drainage pipe replacement

JACKSON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Travelers taking KY 1146, also known as Hardburly Road, in Perry County should be aware of a road closure on Tuesday, July 6.

A drainage pipe replacement will cause the highway to be blocked at milepoint 0.3. This area is between Groundhog Hollow Road and Muddy Hollow Road around the end of state maintenance.

Work will start around 8:30 a.m. and is expected to be done by 2:30 p.m.  The road will be closed to all through traffic.

Since this is a dead-end highway, no detour is available. Drivers should plan their trips accordingly. Should emergency vehicles need access to the areas past the closure point, provisions will be made.

Less than 500 vehicles use this section of KY 1146 every day.

If there is inclement weather, the closure will be postponed until another suitable date.
