KY 11 reopens after deadly collision in Powell County

STANTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky 11 reopened Wednesday night after being closed earlier in the evening following a deadly head-on collision, according State Police.

It happened around 5:44 p.m. on a curve near the Slade Exit on the Mountain Parkway, according to KSP.

Investigators say a car driven by 40-year old Casey Short, of South Booneville, was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line into the northbound lane and collided with a commercial vehicle, driven by 48-year old Eric Mills, of Lexington.

Casey Short was pronounced dead at the scene, according to State Police.
