KSU: Tuition Hike, Hiring Freeze To Balance Budget
Kentucky State University said it had balanced its budget with a tuition increase, hiring freeze and tapping reserve funds.
The KSU Board of Regents approved a $61.8 million budget on Monday.
The State-Journal reported that was $3.2 million more than spending for the current fiscal year.
In-state students will pay $254 per credit hour, up to 12-hours.
Employees won’t receive raises.
And the school is using $2.5 million from reserve funds.
