KSU and Hope Street Group work to grow partnership
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- The partnership between Kentucky State University and Hope Street Group (HSG) continues to grow as they work to further opportunities for educators and students.
The organizations will meet on February 15th to sign a memorandum of agreement (MOA) that will form the Opportunity Access Network.
This Network aims to diversify the teaching workforce in and outside of Kentucky in order to improve systems at every level and bridge priorities to increase opportunities for students and educators.
Dr. Jo Anne Rainey, chair of the School of Education says that through the MOA, HSG will provide Kentucky State with a foundation that will help “build, grow and scale its impact in Kentucky public education.”
HSG’s Kentucky State Teacher Fellows Program will be merged into Kentucky State’s School of Education.
This partnership will also create a director position at the University for the Kentucky State Teacher Fellows Program.
The meeting is scheduled for Feb. 15 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom, located inside the Carl M. Hill Student Center on Kentucky State’s campus.
