KSP’s Cram the Cruiser underway
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — Kentucky State Police’s annual Cram the Cruiser holiday food drive is officially underway.
Each year, the food drive is held around the holidays to provide non-perishable food items for families in need throughout the Commonwealth. It will run for about two weeks.
“Hunger is an urban, suburban and rural problem,” said Lt. Josh Lawson. “There is no area of the state where it does not exist. Through this program, we have an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our neighbors and participate in the spirit of the season.”
Starting Friday, the following locations will be hosting Cram the Cruiser drives:
- Dec. 1
- Kroger at 808 N. 12th Street in Murray from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Kroger at 545 Island Ford Road in Madisonville from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Kroger at 3040 Dolphin Drive in Elizabethtown from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Walmart at 200 Floyd Drive in Carrollton from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Walmart at 805 US-27 South in Cynthiana from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Walmart at 820 Eastern Bypass in Richmond from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Kroger at 300 Trademore Center in Morehead from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Long’s Pic Pac at 134 Pine Street in Pineville from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Kroger at 1732 KY 192 in London from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Kroger West at 1309 US-127 in Frankfort from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Kroger at 399 Campbellsville Bypass in Cynthiana from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Walmart at 1701 N. Main Street in Beaver Dam from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Kroger East at 300 Brighton Park Boulevard in Frankfort from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Dec. 2
- Walmart at 120 Daniel Boone Plaza in Hazard from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Suggested donations include non-expired canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned soups, chili or spaghetti sauce, brownie and cake mixes, coffee, water, powdered milk and juices.
