KSP two for one: Drug bust and criminal enterprise

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say they teamed up with Alcohol Beverage Control and other local and federal law enforcement officials to bring an end to the store that has been selling stolen products.

While Progress Market on Limestone Street specialized in stolen energy drinks from the nearby Kroger stores, Officials said the store was part of a larger “criminal enterprise.”

Kroger’s Public Affairs Manager Tim McGurk has said the following: “Kroger’s Organized Retail Crime team has been working with a multi-agency operation, including the Kentucky State Police, to bring about the search warrants.
We appreciate the support of law enforcement to shut down this crime ring.”

Officers say when they arrived on the scene, they found an unrelated drug deal going on.

A real two-for-one deal.
