KSP: Trooper Involved In Fatal Shooting
Kentucky State Police said a trooper shot and killed a man in Carter county on Wednesday.
Police said they were called to assist the Carter County Sheriff’s Department with a domestic violence situation involving a firearm on U.S. 60 near Olive Hill on Wednesday.
Police said a man was in the home and would not respond to calls. He could be seen inside the home assaulting a woman.
According to police, he then fired a shot out of the window of the home where officers were standing.
They said a trooper then fired a single shot, hitting and killing the man.
The name of the man and the trooper have not been released.
