KSP Trooper under investigation after scuffle
RADCLIFF, Ky. (WTVQ) -According to the ABC affiliate in Louisville, Kentucky State Police are investigating the actions of an off-duty trooper who was involved in a physical confrontation with a road work crew.
WHAS reports the scuffle ended with the trooper being pinned to the ground by the road work crew.
According to WHAS, a video was posted to Facebook showing the part in the confrontation where it got physical.
KSP confirmed to WHAS the trooper is Anthony Harrison, who they say has been a trooper since 2013.
The affiliate reports Harrison was driving an unmarked vehicle at the time. They say Harrison was upset because he didn’t think there was enough warning for drivers marking the work zone along Dixie Highway, near the Hardin-Meade County line.
WHAS spoke with Scotty’s Contracting member Damon Johnson about the situation. He told WHAS while he was trying to de-escalate the situation, Harrison punched him. That’s when he says his coworkers took Harrison and held him on the ground until uniformed officers could get to the scene.
The incident is under investigation, according to WHAS.
