KSP: Traffic safety checkpoints for June

CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) — State Police announce they will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints between June 1 through June 30.

Trooper Josh Lawson says the counties that will host these checkpoints are: Oldham, Trimble, Henry, Owen, Carroll, and Gallatin.

Lawson says these checkpoints are intended to increase visibility about public safety, and will focus on vehicle equipment deficiencies, confirming registration, confirming licensing of drivers, as well as the detection of motorists who are driving while impaired.

Violations of law or safety discovered through a traffic checkpoint will be treated in accordance with Kentucky laws, Lawson added.
