KSP searching for man considered armed & dangerous

CASEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State police are trying to find a man who troopers say should be considered armed and dangerous. Investigators are looking for 34-year-old Matthew Dale Grider.

State police say Grider exchanged gunfire with a task force officer, then ran off. According to investigators, it happened around 4:30 p.m. when the officer with the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigation unit went to serve a warrant on Grider. Troopers say the officer was not hurt in the gunfire.

Grider is described as 6′ 1", with brown hair. Troopers say he was last seen wearing a gray cap, tan shirt and blue jeans. State police say Grider should not be approached. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555.
