KSP Post 2 Accepting Police Telecommunicator Applications

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville is currently looking for applicants to fill the position of Police Telecommunicator I.

This position requires someone with good communication skills, the ability to handle stressful and challenging situations and conditions, who can handle flexible work schedules (including nights, weekends, and holidays), and has the ability to learn and adapt (especially with technology).

KSP telecommunicators or dispatchers are responsible for communicating with citizens and officers in the field in order to keep officers, first responders, and the public safe at all times.

If you wish to apply for the position on Police Telecommunicator I, you must be a high school graduate and cannot be a convicted felon or be convicted of other crimes pursuant to KRS 15.540.

This position serves as a solid foundation within the agency and can allow for mobility within the agency.
