KSP: Officer shot in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police Post 13 are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Perry County.

It happened around 7:33 p.m. Monday evening on Hulls School Road in the Bonnyman Community.

State Police say an officer suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, and was taken to Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

They say one person was found dead at the scene.

Investigators are still working to gather more information regarding possible suspects involved.
