KSP offers new mobile app to public
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police held a press conference Tuesday to announce a new smartphone app to aid in communication between police and the public.
The app, "KSPOLICE," features a voice messaging tip line, the ability to send a photo tip, access to the sex offender registry and more. KSP Commissioner Rodney Brewer says the app will also be able to send region-specific push alerts to users, notifying them of weather alerts, traffic impacts, amber and golden alerts, or escaped prisoner alerts.
The app is available in the Apple and Goggle Play stores free of charge. It is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android phone users.
