KSP: Man killed in Harlan County motorcycle collision

HARLAN, Ky. (WTVQ)- State police say a man was killed Friday night in a motorcycle crash on KY 3152 in Harlan County.

Troopers say 59-year-old  Harvey Johnson of Dayhoit was headed west when he missed a curve and crossed into the eastbound lane. They say the bike went off the road, laid on its side, and skidded several feet before hitting a utility pole. State police say Johnson was thrown from the motorcycle.

Investigators say Johnson died at the scene. State police say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
