KSP: Man killed in crash, driver ran from scene

PHELPS, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who they say ran from an accident scene in which a passenger was killed.

It happened Tuesday on KY 194E in Pike County, according to KSP.

Investigators say the driver of a 1990 Ford Ranger was traveling west on KY 194E when the pickup left the road and collided with a metal pole before overturning.

State Police say the passenger, 63-year old George Gooslin, of McCarr, was pronounced dead at the scene. They say he was not wearing a seat belt.

Troopers say the driver of the pickup ran from the accident scene and hasn’t been seen since.

The deadly crash is still under investigation.
