KSP: Man fires gun, gets hit by vehicle
WALLINS, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say what began as an argument between a couple ended up with another woman shot and the man run down by a vehicle in Harlan County.
Investigators say 55-year old Johnny Noe and 54-year old Theresa Gail Noe, both of Wallins, got into an altercation Wednesday afternoon.
State Police say Johnny Noe stepped in front of a vehicle with Theresa Noe and others inside on Platts Fork Road. Investigators say Johnny Noe started firing a gun at the vehicle. State Police say the driver tried to get away and hit Johnny Noe in the process.
Investigators say a passenger in the vehicle, Angela Huff, was shot in the left leg. No one else was hit by any bullets, according to KSP.
Huff was driven in a private vehicle to Harlan ARH for treatment of her gunshot wound.
Johnny Noe was eventually airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington after being run over by the vehicle.
State Police say there was an active Temporary Emergency Protective Order in place against Johnny Noe at the time of the incident. They say it had been taken out the day before by Theresa Gail Noe.
Investigators say several charges are pending against Johnny Noe.
The case is still under investigation by State Police.
