KSP: Man arrested after shooting another man in the head in Harlan County
BAXTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was arrested after police say he shot another man in the head multiple times in Harlan County.
Kentucky State Police says troopers were called Friday around 4:25 a.m. to a home in Baxter for a reported shooting.
When they arrived, deputies say they found 25-year-old Bradley Hopkins suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head. They say Hopkins was sent to a local hospital and then to the University of Kentucky Medical Hospital. His condition is unknown.
State Police say they later arrested 23-year-old James T. Mitchell at his mother’s house in Coldiron.
Mitchell is charged with assault, wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.
