KSP: Man arrested after multi-county chase

MAYFIELD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Early Saturday morning, a motorcycle driver from Mayfield led officers on a multi-county chase.

According to KSP, a trooper was on routine patrol on US 62 in Carlisle County just before 2 a.m. when he saw a man on a motorcycle driving recklessly.

When the trooper tried to stop the motorcycle, the driver reportedly kept going at speeds over 100 miles per hour.

Troopers and local officers followed the bike into Carlisle, Hickman, and Graves County.

KSP says 35-year-old Derek Brown from Mayfield stopped in Graves county and ran away. The Sheriff’s Office caught him just before 3 a.m. He’s facing several charges, including DUI, endangering a police officer and driving on a suspended license.
