KSP Makes Arrest In Henry County Murder-For-Hire Plot
State Police say a Henry County woman tried to hire somebody to kill her ex-husband, but it turns out the guy Shirley Truman hired was an undercover detective.
Truman weighs in at barely 100 pounds, and a neighbor says Truman is lean and mean.
"I don’t really know what all to say except for I’m happy. I hope they’re finally gone out of here. Everybody wants them gone," said Connie Milby, Truman’s neighbor.
State Police arrested Truman at her Henry County home, and charged her with murder through solicitation.
Milby says Truman and her ex-husband split about a year and a half ago. Milby says Truman was jealous her ex moved on.
"It doesn’t surprise me at all, because I know that she does not want him around nowhere, nowhere period," said Milby.
State Police say Truman met with an undercover agent to give a physical description of her ex-husband, and to describe his car.
State Police would not say if Truman discussed a dollar amount, but according to the warrant, Truman went so far as to take the trooper to her ex-husband’s home to show where he lives.
Truman is being held at the Shelby County jail on $250,000 bail. She declined an interview request.
While she’s locked up, this neighbor won’t miss her.
"She’s very very vindictive," said Milby.
Truman will be back in court in about two weeks.
