KSP make arrest in shooting in Shelby County
WADDY, Ky. (WTVQ) – One man is dead and another is in custody in Shelby County.
Kentucky State Police say deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office were called to a shooting at 434 Bardstown Trail in Waddy around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
According to state police, when deputies arrived, they found one man lying on the ground outside of the home and another man dead inside the home.
The victim is identified as 53-year-old William Riddell.
Police say the other man was taken to the hospital, treated and released.
Troopers later took 41-year-old Brian Myers, of Willisburg, into custody and charged him with murder.
Police did not say if Riddell was shot to death.
They say an autopsy is being performed Thursday to determine the cause of death.
