KSP issues arrest warrant for Knox Co. murder suspect

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police have named a suspect they believe is behind a robbery and murder in Knox County.

State Police issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Phillip Lee Lewis III in connection to the January 16 robbery at the A&B Quick Stop in the Gray community.

A bystander who tried to run from the store during the robbery, 25-year-old Gary Medlin, was shot and killed.

Police say Lewis is considered armed and dangerous.

They say he is currently wanted out of Mississippi for a probation violation warrant

Lewis is described as 6’0’’, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He also has a tattoo on his right forearm and left chest.
