KSP investigating infant death

CARROLLTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a six-week-old child in Carollton.

Officers say they received a call around 2:00 p.m. on January 11, about an unresponsive infant at a home.  Troopers, EMS, the Carroll Co. Sheriff’s Office, the Carroll Co. coroner, and Carroll Co. Social Services responded to the scene.

The child was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner.  Investigators say they found no signs of foul play.  An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
