KSP investigating fatal shooting in Jackson County

JACKSON, Ky. (WTVQ)- One person was shot to death in Jackson County on Tuesday afternoon.

State Police say what began as an argument ended with a person shot to death and another being questioned by investigators.

A body was found along Chestnut Flat Road near Bowen Rose Road in rural Jackson County.

The victim’s name nor the gender have been released.

State Police say there were several witnesses to the shooting.

The person being questioned hasn’t been identified.

We do know an ATV was towed from the scene, but State Police wouldn’t tell us what role, if any, it played in the case.

KSP right now is calling this a death investigation.
