KSP investigating escape at Keaton Correctional Institution

PADUCAH, Ky. (WTVQ) -State Police are investigating an escape from the Keaton Correctional Institution in Paducah.

Thursday morning, just after 4:00 a.m., Troopers say they were contacted by the facility saying that during a head count search, they discovered that 33-year old inmate Everett E. Tabor was missing.  Investigators describe Tabor as having short brown hair and brown eyes, standing about 6’1″.  It is unknown what Tabor was wearing at the time of his escape.

A parolee staying at the institution, 21-year-old Chancelor A. Britt of Byrdstown, Tennessee, was also missing.  He is described as having strawberry blond hair and blue eyes, standing 5’11”.

Tabor was serving time for trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Britt is on parole for a wanton endangerment conviction.
