KSP investigating deadly single-vehicle crash in Powell County
POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police says one man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on the Mountain Parkway Friday morning.
According to KSP, troopers received a call around 8 a.m. about a crash near mile marker 33. Investigators said 49-year-old James R. Gabbard of Hazel Green was traveling eastbound when his vehicle left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned.
The Powell County Coroner says Gabbard died at the scene.
KSP says the collision remains under investigation.
