UPDATE: Body found in Pike County identified as Pulaski woman

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A body found earlier this month in the Virgie community in Pike County has been identified as a Pulaski County woman.
Kentucky State Police troopers said the body has been identified as 32-year-old Bethany Lindon, of Somerset.
The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing, according to the KSP.

VIRGIE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police troopers are investigating a body found Monday morning in Pike County.
Troopers received a call just after 7 a.m. The initial investigation indicated an unidentified body had been located near a park area on Long Fork Road near Long Fork and Shelby creeks on the northern edge of the Virgie community south of Pikeville.
The body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and identification. The cause of death is still under investigation.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Detective Dustin Thompson. Detective Thompson was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel.
