KSP investigating a deadly pedestrian crash in Hardin County
HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened early Monday morning on Interstate 65 in Hardin County.
According to Kentucky State Police, the collision happened around 4:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes near the 100-mile marker when a pedestrian was struck by a Dodge Durango driven by a person from Alabama.
The pedestrian, identified as Carl Ollis, 45, of Elizabethtown, died at the scene, according to the Hardin County Coroner.
Troopers say Interstate 65 southbound was shut down for approximately four hours while crash reconstruction was conducted.
