KSP Investigates Jackson County Murder

State Police said they are investigating a murder that happened in Jackson County just before noon on Friday.

Troopers said family members called them to Clements Road for a welfare check. They said family was concerned because they had not seen or spoken to the homeowner and were concerned.

According to police, they found Gary “Bill” Mullins, 56, dead in the home. They said initial investigations revealed the McKee native had suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim has been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

KSP is continuing to investigate.
