KSP: Highway worker assault investigation

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) — State Police report the ongoing investigation regarding an injured Madison County employee on March 8.

KSP says they were called to Meadowbrook Road at approximately 1:45 p.m., after a Highway Department employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries. According to the victim, he was assaulted while he was putting up a speed limit sign. The person who assaulted him, he said, was the passenger of a dark blue F-150 that had been driving north at the time.

The initial investigation revealed the passenger in the pick-up truck stuck a long object out the window and hit him in the legs, causing him to fall to the ground.

State Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the vehicle involved, and the people responsible for the assault.
