KSP: Head-on collision sends two people to the hospital

FLEMING COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say two women were injured in a head-on collision in Fleming County on Monday.

Investigators say 50-year old Carla Logan of Wallingford was traveling eastbound on KY 32 when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a car driven by 20-year old Brandi Purcell of Flemingsburg.

Investigators say Purcell tried to swerve to avoid the collision, but was unsuccessful.  State Police say Purcell was taken to Fleming County Hospital and later transferred to UK Hospital in Lexington, while Logan was airlifted to UK Hospital.

State Police say both women were initially listed in stable condition.  The collision is still under investigation.
