KSP: Elkton man shoots juvenile in neck
ELKTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say 20-year old Jayson Stewart of Elkton was handling a .22 caliber handgun when it discharged and struck a juvenile in the neck. Investigators say the victim was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, where they were listed in stable, but critical condition.
State Police say it happened early Thursday afternoon in Elkton in Todd County. Investigators say Stewart was charged with Assault 1st Degree (B Felony) and lodged in the Todd County Jail. The case remains under investigation, according to KSP.
